Margo (born María Margarita Guadalupe Teresa Estela Bolado Castilla y O'Donnell, May 10, 1917 – July 17, 1985) was a Mexican actress and dancer. [1] She appeared in many film, stage, and television productions, including Lost Horizon (1937), The Leopard Man (1943), Viva Zapata! (1952), and I'll Cry Tomorrow (1955). As a niece to famous bandleader Xavier Cugat, she performed with his orchestra from the age of nine as a specialty dancer in nightclubs, and, later, on the Starlight Roof of the hotel Waldorf Astoria in New York. After the birth of their son Edward Albert in 1951, Margo devoted more time to her family, which grew to include an adopted daughter, and less to her career, although she performed in nightclub revues with her husband during the 1950s.
