Some players mess around with cars or businesses early on, and sure, that helps a bit, but the stock market can turn story cash into ridiculous money. Save Lester's jobs until you're rich

You'll be forced to complete The Hotel Assassination to move the story along, so don't worry about that one. After it's done, leave the rest of Lester's assassination missions alone. The trick is simple: invest with all three characters before the right assassination, complete the job, wait for the stock to climb, then sell before it drops back down. For The Hotel Assassination, buy Betta Pharmaceuticals on BAWSAQ before the mission, then sell when the return is around 50 percent. After that, put money into Bilkinton Research on LCN and wait roughly a day for the rebound. For The Multi Target Assassination, buy Debonaire on LCN first, sell around 60 to 90 percent, then switch to Redwood and wait several in-game days for the bigger bounce. For The Vice Assassination, buy Fruit Computers on BAWSAQ, then move into Facade after selling. The Bus Assassination is different; don't buy before it, just grab Vapid afterward. For The Construction Assassination, Gold Coast on LCN is the main play before starting.

Watch the clock, not just the percentage

The markets don't all behave the same way. BAWSAQ tends to react fast, sometimes almost right after the mission ends, while LCN usually needs more in-game time. Sleeping is the easiest way to push time forward, but don't sleep blindly. Check the portfolio page, look at the return percentage, and save in a separate slot before you skip more time. A lot of players get greedy and wait for one more jump. Then the price slips, and they've just lost a huge chunk of profit. If that happens, reload and sell earlier. Once the assassination chain is done, you can still play the LCN market, though it's no longer guaranteed money. Rival companies matter. Redwood and Debonaire push against each other, FlyUS and AirEmu do the same, and eCola has Raine as its opposite. Buy when a stable stock is low, sell when it climbs, and don't tie up every dollar in one company unless you're happy to wait. Some players prefer to spend the fortune on garages, businesses, aircraft, and property instead.
