Events Are Changing in MLB The Show 26

One of the biggest structural changes in Diamond Dynasty involves the Events mode.

In MLB The Show 26, the developers confirmed that Events will not always be active. Instead, they will appear during limited windows.
Another major addition is Event-specific programs. Each Event will now include a reward track tied directly to that event's gameplay. Players who participate can earn exclusive rewards, including a featured player card that cannot be obtained elsewhere during that period.

Launch Event: WBC Moonshot

The first Event of the year will be the WBC Moonshot Event, set in Tokyo Dome.

This Event follows the familiar Moonshot formula, allowing players to use any hitters against bronze or common pitchers. As a result, offense will dominate, and home runs will fly early in the game cycle.

The Event program includes its own reward path, with Bryce Turang confirmed as the exclusive player reward for completing the program.

Battle Royale Draft System Gets a New Twist

The first round of a Battle Royale draft will still feature top-tier diamond players. However, the second and third rounds will now be curated by the developers.

At launch, the curated rounds include:

Round 2: World Baseball Classic Diamond cards
Round 3: Jolt Series cards
