Getting a belt onto a custom GTA Online outfit is one of those little fashion tricks players keep coming back to. It makes a basic fit look like proper security gear, whether you're going for Gruppe Sechs, prison guard, or a medic-style setup. Some players build these looks from scratch, while others start fresh with GTA 5 Modded Accounts and then fine-tune the wardrobe later. Either way, the idea is the same: you need one saved outfit that already has a belt, and one clean custom outfit that can receive it.

Pick the belt you actually want

Start at a clothing store and check the outfits that already include belts. The Gruppe Sechs casino outfits are still a favourite because the belt has that simple tactical look, plus the small radio on the side. Maintenance outfits give a different feel, with keys and a yellow towel hanging from the waist. Prison guard outfits are easier for most players since they don't require as much setup, and their belt works well with streetwear or security-style clothing. You may hear people talk about cop belts or gun belts, but don't rush into those. The cop belt is usually blacklisted, and the gun belt needs a more awkward transfer method.

Build the outfit before starting the merge

Now make the outfit you actually want to wear. Keep it simple at first. You'll need either the Peach Plate Carrier from Utility Vests or the Sand T-Shirt from Gunrunning T-Shirts. If you're planning to wear a jacket, the Sand T-Shirt is the safer pick, because jackets don't always behave well with utility vests. Save this outfit in slot 1 or slot 20. Then buy one of the last four heist coveralls with a gas mask, such as The Hazard. Go to the Vespucci mask shop, equip a Black Bulletproof Helmet, then add a Chemical Mask from the gas mask section. Save that helmet-and-mask version over your custom outfit.

Use the mission setup to strip the top

Open the pause menu, go to Online, Jobs, Play Job, Rockstar Created, Missions, and start A Titan of a Job. Launch it alone. When you load in, check your character. The Peach Plate Carrier or Sand T-Shirt should be gone. If it's still there, close the game and try again later, because the merge probably won't stick. If it worked, walk to Ammu-Nation inside the mission and save the outfit as it appears. Then quit the job through your phone. Back in freemode, enter Ammu-Nation again and equip the outfit that has the belt you want to transfer.

Finish the belt transfer

Next, start the Lamar mission called It's a G Thing. You'll need another player to begin, so invite a friend or someone from the session. In the lobby, set Clothing to Player Saved Outfits. This part matters. On the outfit screen, press right once if your custom outfit was saved in slot 1, or left once if it was saved in slot 20. Ready up, load into the mission, and quit straight away using your phone. Once you're back in freemode, get into any normal street car. Register as a CEO, VIP, or MC President. Open the Interaction Menu, go to Management, then Style, press right once, and immediately press left back to None. Step out of the car, and the belt should appear on your custom outfit.

Save it before the game changes its mind

Don't stand around admiring it for too long. Go straight to a clothing store or Ammu-Nation and save the outfit in a slot you won't overwrite by mistake. GTA Online clothing glitches can be fussy, and one wrong outfit change can undo the whole thing. Players who like collecting rare looks often keep backup slots, especially if they also manage different characters or browse options such as GTA 5 Accounts buy for new setups. Once it's saved, you've got a clean tactical belt outfit ready for missions, free roam, or just showing off at the car meet.
